On Sunday night, the Steelers will have a chance of seeing a third running back reach 100 yards rushing in the past four games. Rashard Mendenhall
, who has been out of action since Week 7 because of an Achilles injury, is expected to get the start against the Ravens.
Fantasy Analysis:
Past that, it's anyone's guess as to how the Steelers' backfield will operate. The popular thought is that Isaac Redman
and Jonathan Dwyer
will be alternated throughout the game behind Mendenhall with Redman handling the duties on third down. In any case, all three runners will be used fairly often, and with Byron Leftwich at the helm, stopping the Steelers' running attack will probably be job No. 1 for the Ravens' defense. Mendenhall has the most current value of the three, but none of them are quality fantasy starts this weekend.
