C.J. Spiller
wanted to prove that he could handle 20+ carries and be productive. He did that Thursday against the Dolphins, but the odds of him getting a chance to do it again most likely hinge on the status of backfield mate Fred Jackson
, who missed the game due to a concussion. However, head coach Chan Gailey said Saturday that Jackson's state is improving.
"I think he's a lot better," Gailey said of Jackson. "He would answer better than I can, but the report I get is that he feels a lot better. The steps that you have to go through now, everything is going according to plan."
Fantasy Analysis:
If the Bills are smart, they will give Spiller more touches than Jackson moving forward -- something that's happened only once in the six games this season that both players finished. However, even if Spiller earns the majority of the carries, Jackson has been productive enough to be at least a high-end flex play. If he can return for Week 12, he and Spiller will have a tasty matchup against the Colts awaiting them.
