Indianapolis Colts running back Vick Ballard was in for 46 offensive snaps Sunday. In comparison, RB Donald Brown only played 19. This discrepancy led to Ballard seeing 17 touches for 79 total yards, while Brown had six touches for 23 total yards. The Colts' backfield is crowded and further complicated by Delone Carter
grabbing a goal-line touchdown that devalued Brown.
Fantasy Analysis:
The assumption heading into this week was that Brown would be the featured back, but it did not turn out that way. For the time being, none of the Colts' backs are particularly attractive for our fantasy purposes. Brown may still be recovering from injury, which could have led to his diminished workload. For now though, Ballard is the back to own although his touches aren't guaranteed as Brown plays his way back into good standing.
