Packers expect WR Greg Jennings to play Week 13

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that wide receiver Greg Jennings @GregJennings will be a "full participant and ready to go" against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13. Jennings has been out since Week 4, or more specifically, since Sept. 30. The Packers are still in the mix for a divisional title and have an outside shot at an opening round bye. Jennings will need to carve out a new role between Randall Cobb @rcobb18, Jordy Nelson @JordyRNelson, and James Jones.

Fantasy Analysis:

Once Jennings is healthy and in the starting lineup, fantasy owners should not hesitate to use him. Unless you have must-starts at your WR spots and at your flex, Jennings is still technically the best guy on his team at the position. Stowing him on your roster this long only to bench him when he is ready to play does not make any sense. This may be a very aggressive play, but unless Jennings is very limited in practices leading up to the game, it could be a mistake sitting him.

I follow the Pack daily in the local media. Expect the Packers to look to Jennings early and often right out of the gate, especially given the difficulty the Green Bay receivers had getting open against the Giants secondary. The same thing happened in the playoffs last year when Jennings went out. Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are good wideouts, but neither is the legitmate #1 receiver that Jennings is.

Agreed. But, that still helps Nelson's and to some extent Cobb's value, with Jennings picking up the 'star' coverage again. Certainly GB isn't crushing their opponents with the running game... Should be a beautiful day, Sunday at Lambeau as well.

I am in a stand still whether to start nelson or shorts, with Jennings
coming back i feel like nelson is not going to get as many chances but this could also open him for the long bomb and a TD. What do you think about these two players?
