As quickly as we learned his name, the fantasy football community can now forget about Jaguars running back Jalen Parmele. His season is over after he was put on injured reserve Tuesday. Parmele has a groin injury which he suffered during Sunday's game, his first career start, against the Titans. Parmele injured the muscle in the first quarter, but returned shortly before halftime. He then made another exit in the fourth quarter and didn't play another snap. He finished with eight carries for 45 yards and a 7-yard catch. Rashad Jennings will be the team's lead back once again until Maurice Jones-Drew is ready to return.
Today must be injured reserve day as we've already seen three fantasy notables put away for the year -- Parmele, DeSean Jackson and Kendall Hunter. It's really a tough break for Parmele, who will go back to being bench depth for the Jags if he's still with them in 2013. Jennings has been a big disappointment while filling in for MJD, and he averaged 2.7 yards per carry while Parmele was trying to get right on Sunday. But he did score a goal-line touchdown and figures to see at least 20 touches versus the Bills in Week 13, so he's a solid flex play.
