Detroit Lions running back Mikel Leshoure
did not practice on Wednesday for undisclosed reasons. There was no indication that the second-year back was injured on Thanksgiving. In that game, he had 14 touches for 59 yards and a touchdown. Despite having five TDs in his last four games, Leshoure's role has been inconsistent because of splitting carries with Joique Bell
. Leshoure has taken personal days in the past so there's no reason to assume this missed practice is because of a serious injury.
Fantasy Analysis:
Fun fact: Leshoure's longest run of the season was a 16-yarder against Seattle back in Week 8. If he does end up playing in Week 13, he should of course remain in the starting lineup for most fantasy owners. Even though the Lions are on a three-game losing streak, the Lions still have a pretty good offense that averages a respectable 24.3 points per game. If it turns out he is injured and there is any news suggesting Bell will see more touches, then benching Leshoure would make more sense.
