Considering Titus Young
's willful decisions to go against coaches' orders during games and the subsequent scathing comments from teammates, not many people expected the 23-year-old wideout to play much if at all during the season's final month. The Lions made it official Tuesday that Young has indeed played his final down of 2012, putting him on injured reserve. Officially, Young was placed on injured reserve due a knee injury.
Fantasy Analysis:
Young has battled a knee injury for most of the season, but it was less his knee and more the pain in the butt he has become that got him to where he is, from sucker-punching a teammate during offseason camp to arguing with coaches and going rogue in Novemeber, which resulted in a one-game suspension. While Young is a talented player who was drafted in the second round less than two years ago, it wouldn't be a shock to see him on another team next season.
With both Young and Ryan Broyles on IR, Mike Thomas
now becomes the Lions' No. 2 WR for the remainder. Right now, he is purely a depth add, but there is upside with any receiver who starts alongside Calvin Johnson and has Matthew Stafford spinning the ball.
