Steelers WR Mike Wallace voices displeasure, future with team in doubt?

Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Wallace @Wallace17_daKid publicly criticized offensive coordinator Todd Haley's offensive system. "The first three years I was always involved, so you just warmed up in games, and you were just into it," Wallace said. "But when, you don't get the ball for two-and-half quarters, you lose focus." Wallace signed a one-year deal this past offseason and will be a free agent in 2013. His reception and touchdowns totals are about on par with his career numbers, yet his yardage numbers are way down. His yards per catch average is 11.9 this season, down from 16.6 in 2011 and 21.0 in 2010, respectively.

Fantasy Analysis:

Wallace is as good as gone in Pittsburgh. Although he should command a serious market during his impending free agency, he is not a natural fit in the Steelers' current system and the numbers reflect that. Behind Wallace, Antonio Brown @AntonioBrown84, and Emmanuel Sanders @E_Sanders88, the Steelers are pretty thin at receiver. Jerricho Cotchery @cotcheryfoundat and Plaxico Burress @blackjack are the only receivers on the roster and they also have the undrafted Bert Reed on the practice squad. For fantasy owners, Wallace remains a good, but not great flex play. In his last three games, he has only caught 10 balls for 79 yards and no TDs.
