Saints running back Chris Ivory practiced as usual this week leading up to Sunday's showdown against the Giants. But something must have happened to him during Friday's session or later as he suddenly popped up on the injury report Saturday with a hamstring injury and is listed doubtful. Ivory is averaging more than five yards per carry this season, but he gained just four yards on three carries in Week 13.
Fantasy Analysis:
Ivory was the Saints' best running back in the few games that Sproles had to miss due to a fractured hand. But with Sproles at 100 percent and being joined by Mark Ingram
and Pierre Thomas
, Ivory will probably fall back into his old role of being inactive on game days. This hamstring issue just makes it more convenient to keep him off the field. Sproles is a decent RB2 against the Giants while Thomas and Ingram are average flex choices.
