The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy
will not play Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals as he continues to recover from lingering concussion issues. McCoy passed the baseline test but has yet to be cleared by an independent neurologist. Since the Eagles are already eliminated from playoff contention, there's little reason to rush McCoy back into the fold. Bryce Brown figures to be the team's featured back once again.
Fantasy Analysis:
A consensus Top 3 pick in fantasy drafts, owners has not played since Nov. 18 in a 31-6 loss to the Washington Redskins. McCoy wasn't having that great of a season, at least for his standards. His high reception totals helped in PPR, but he certainly wasn't scoring as many TDs with only five through ten games. Brown has been solid as a replacement but really fell off last week, which may have cost a lot of fantasy owners their game. The Bengals have a pretty good defense so only consider Brown a flex play this week at best, especially coming off a short week.
