Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald
publicly rebutted statements from his father that the team had "quit on its season." Fitz was adamant that his team would "never" quit. The Cardinals are the first team in NFL history to win their first four games and then lose nine straight. The 29-year-old star was also clear about stating that he was happy in Arizona and did not want to leave by saying, "I enjoy playing for the Arizona Cardinals and I want to continue to play here and try to win."
Fantasy Analysis:
Fitzgerald has only eclipsed 100-plus receiving yards once all season and it came back in Week 3. Although his target numbers remain very high, he's hardly catching anything. Last week for example, 11 passes were targeted for him, yet he only caught one ball for two yards. Fantasy owners have likely long moved on from Fitz since Arizona's quarterback play has been so awful. It'll be interesting to see how far he falls in fantasy drafts next season, especially if the Cardinals don't bring in another quarterback.
