Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw ruled out; RB David Wilson to start versus Falcons

It has taken longer than many expected for Giants rookie running back David Wilson @4stillRunning to make his mark on the fantasy football world. But he definitely did that with 327 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns last week versus the Saints, and now he will be called upon to start Sunday's game against the Falcons. That's because the team's lead running back, Ahmad Bradshaw has already been declared out for the game due to a sprained knee.

Fantasy Analysis:

I don't expect Wilson to duplicate last week's effort; that would be crazy to predict. But with Bradshaw unavailable and head coach Tom Coughlin saying Wilson can handle 20-25 carries in a game, he is a low-end RB1 right now. The Falcons have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to running back this season and have given up at least 10 fantasy points to an opposing back in eight of their past nine games. Get the rookie in your lineup, pronto. Also, with Bradshaw being declared out a two full days prior to kickoff, the odds look pretty good that Wilson will get another big workload next week when he faces the Ravens.

"...he is a low-end RB1 right now." Well okay then?!? That doesnt quite jive with the rankings that are currently posted (#6); that is unless youre trying to say there are less then 6 mid to high end RB1's??

@mrbig, you should know that I don't have any input with the rankings. All of the opinions you read here are my own. Personally, I think No. 6 is a few spots too high.
