According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the New York Jets are expected to make a change at quarterback for Week 16. The Jets lost Monday against the Tennessee Titans, 14-10. Mark Sanchez
only completed 13 of 28 passes for 131 yards with one TD and four INTs. The loss officially eliminated the Jets from the playoff chase. There is no clear indication whether Tim Tebow
or Greg McElroy
will take over against San Diego.
Fantasy Analysis:
For what it's worth, Sanchez had his best statistical year last season. He enjoyed career-highs in completion percentage, passing yards and touchdown passes. Obviously that's not saying a lot since he has never been a great QB, but there was room for optimism entering 2012. Losing Santonio Holmes
has been a death sentence for this offense with no gamebreaking players on the roster. Is Tebow or McElroy going to fare any better? It is very unlikely. Fantasy owners would be wise to avoid this team altogether.
