Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts
was a full practice participant Wednesday after having missed his last two games due to a lingering concussion. Shorts did not play in Week 14 and was a bit of a surprise in his return in Week 15. He caught six passes for 101 yards Sunday against Miami, his fourth game with at least 100 receiving yards. Shorts' breakout season continues in New England next week.
Fantasy Analysis:
Shorts' meteoric rise is a reason why we play this game. A fourth-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft that caught a measly two passes last season, now all of a sudden he will likely finish this season with at least 50 receptions, 1,000-plus yards and at least seven TDs. Keep in mind, he didn't even begin to get regular playing time until after Laurent Robinson
went down with an injury. Fantasy owners should jump at the opportunity to start Shorts again this week as he has been a reliable WR2
