There are conflicting reports swimming around the media right now. Nick Wright of 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City has been told "from a more than reliable source" that Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel and general manager Scott Pioli will "not be back next year." There are currently other reports that say this is not true, in particular, Pro Football Talk has recently denied the rumor saying that owner Clark Hunt has not told Crennel or Pioli that they will be fired.
Fantasy Analysis:
Notice that PFT's denial of this report is that the owner has not informed Crennel or Pioli that they will be fired. That's a stark difference from denying they won't be fired at all. Either way, the Chiefs are 2-12 and currenly are locked into the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. A new regime is in order and it's unfortunate for the Chiefs because they do have some great players like Jamaal Charles
, Eric Berry
, Dwayne Bowe
, Brandon Flowers
, Justin Houston, Derrick Johnson
and a couple pretty good offensive linemen. Point being, a new coaching staff could go a long way with this team and the right No. 1 pick.
