Packers WR Randall Cobb suffers ankle injury

Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb @rcobb18 continued his breakout season on Sunday with three catches for 62 yards and a touchdown, his eighth of the year. And that came despite the fact that Cobb didn't even play in the fourth quarter due to an ankle injury. Cobb was injured on a punt return in the third quarter and didn't return. After the game, head coach Mike McCarthy said Cobb's injury isn't believed to be serious.
"The training staff on the field did not give me anything to believe that it was very serious," McCarthy said about Cobb's injury, "but as you know with ankle sprains and joint injuries, the next day is a huge indicator."

Fantasy Analysis:

This is why I hate seeing marquee players returning punts. As a Wes Welker and Antonio Brown owner this year, I cringed every time I see them catch a punt because the risk of injury is raised. McCarthy said he would consider a switch on the punt return team as a result of Cobb's injury.
The Packers are still vying for a first-round bye, so Cobb will play next week if he can. But we'll first have to figure out the severity of his injury. Updates will be coming during the practice week.
