Eagles quarterback Nick Foles
suffered a hairline fracture of his throwing hand during Sunday's loss to the Redskins and will be unavailable to play this weekend against the Giants. Welcome back, Michael Vick
? Probably, according to head coach Andy Reid.
"Yeah, there's a pretty good chance that Michael will be the starter," Reid said at his Monday press conference. "That's what I'm looking at right now. That's the direction I'm going as we speak right now."
Foles actually played the entire second half of Sunday's game with the injured hand. The damage was revealed during an MRI on Monday.
Vick hasn't played since suffering a concussion in Week 10.
Fantasy Analysis:
It's a nice story that Vick gets the start in what is most likely his and Reid's last game with the Eagles. And hey, he's definitely a viable fantasy option against the Giants' sad defense. I'm sure he will use this game to try to impress his suitors.
Foles is the probably going to be the Eagles' starter heading into training camp, but competition should be coming. Foles has flashed real ability at times, but he still has a lot of learning to do.
