Bills tight end Scott Chandler
will need surgery after tearing the ACL in his left knee during Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. His season ends with 43 catches, 571 yards and six touchdowns. H-back Dorin Dickerson was carted off during the game due to an ankle injury, but Bills head coach Chan Gailey said on Monday that Dickerson's injury isn't as bad as first thought, and he is currently expected to start in Chandler's place this weekend against the Jets.
Fantasy Analysis:
Chandler and Steelers tight end Heath Miller are basically in the same boat after both suffered major knee injuries in Week 16. Chandler is a few years younger, but he is just as limited athletically, so he will likely be continuing his recovery and inactive for games when next season begins. Chandler should be forgotten in 12-team drafts next year.
