49ers WR Mario Manningham suffers ACL, PCL tears

It looked pretty ugly when 49ers wide receiver Mario Manningham @Manningham49ers got his left knee all twisted around by the Seahawks' defense Sunday night. The results of his Monday MRI reflect that ugliness. Manningham has a torn ACL and PCL in that knee. His season is definitely over. Manningham signed a modest two-year deal with the 49ers in March, but he gave them little return on their investment, gaining 449 yards and scoring just one touchdown in 12 games.

Fantasy Analysis:

With tight end Vernon Davis' status unknown due to a concussion, the Niners will now have to depend on Michael Crabtree, Randy Moss and rookie A.J. Jenkings out wide. Obviously, that could be a serious problem for this offense in the playoffs.
Manningham did pretty much what I expected him to do this year: Turn a couple of decent years with the Giants and one huge catch in one huge game into a new deal and then do little with it. He's off the fantasy radar for the start of next season.
