Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy was reported in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel as saying running back Alex Green
will "definitely be available" for Week 17's matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. McCarthy stated he was surprised that Green was not cleared last week and speculated that the second-year back would be ready to go. The former University of Hawaii standout has been waiting for clearance after sustaining a concussion back in Week 15 on the road against the Bears.
Fantasy Analysis:
Green, Ryan Grant
, and maybe even second-year back DuJuan Harris
figure to be in the mix on Sunday. Grant had a great game, rushing for 80 yards on 20 carries, including two trips to the end zone. Harris also chipped in 29 yards on eight carries and a score. Given Green Bay's high-powered offense, Grant and Green are probably worth a look as a flex in deeper leagues while Harris should probably remain on the waiver wire.
