Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte
returned to Thursday's practice as a limited participant. The former Tulane star was able to play last week on his bad ankle, gaining a total of 95 yards and scoring one TD, although his 13 total touches were his lowest total since Week 2. Forte is listed as questionable for Week 17 and has re-aggravated this same injury numerous times. Barring a setback though, he is on track to play and Chicago will need as their playoff aspirations are not yet extinguished.
Fantasy Analysis:
Forte's numbers are down slightly in 2012 when compared to what he has produced (when healthy) over the last two seasons. Micahel Bush did not eat up as many opportunities as many fantasy analysts and NFL insiders had expected. Assuming Forte is ready to play, he is a solid fantasy RB2 with some marginal upside in PPR leagues. Chicago can qualify for the postseason with a win over Detroit, Green Bay win/tie against Minnesota.
