Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson did not practice on Thursday for the second consecutive day. Early reports suggested the rookie may need surgery but further testing revealed it was only an ankle sprain. At this time, it is unlikely that Richardson will play in Week 17. Browns beat writer Tony Grossi suggested that he will likely be listed inactive prior to Cleveland's game against Pittsburgh. Montario Hardesty would see the majority of touches should T-Rich sit out.
Fantasy Analysis:
Although Richardson ranks third among rookies and 17th overall among the NFL's leading rushers, his success is undeniable. He is tied for third in the league with 12 touchdowns. Former Cleveland great Jim Brown has already seen his team rookie-record broken, although it should be noted he set that record in only 12 games. Richardson is an interesting fantasy prospect next season since assuming Cleveland adds some more offensive weapons, they may take away touchdowns or potentially add more yardage if the Browns improve offensively. It will be interesting to see if Cleveland sticks with Brandon Weeden
