The Jacksonville Jaguars finally noticed that running back Maurice Jones-Drew
was not placed in their injured reserve slot on their roster. Even though he has not played since Oct. 21, Jones-Drew was placed on injured reserve, formally ending his 2012 season. He will have foot surgery in May, according to John Oehser of Jacksonville's official team site. MJD will be entering the final season of his contract in 2013. He is scheduled to earn $4.95 million next season.
Fantasy Analysis:
If you recall, Jones-Drew was a hold-out durign the offseason and was officially reinstated by the team the day before their first game of the season. Will MJD hold out again? It is way too early to speculate but he should be 100-percent by the time training camp begins. Rashad Jennings
was a popular fantasy draft choice but he struggled with a concussion that sent him to injured reserve on Dec. 25. In 10 games, he was given 101 carries and only averaged 2.8 yards per carry.
