Falcons OC Dirk Koetter signs 2-year extension

With so many openings for head coaches in the NFL, there seems to be a nearly endless amount of permutations of who might end up where. But one big name isn't going anywhere. The Falcons have signed offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter to a two-year extension, keeping him with the team through the 2014 season. In Koetter's first year in Atlanta, the Falcons finished the season ranked eighth and seventh in yards per game and points per game, respectively. Koetter helped quarterback Matt Ryan @M_Ryan02 post career highs in passing yards, touchdowns and completion percentage.

Fantasy Analysis:

In short, expect more of the same from this offense next season. Ryan, Julio Jones @juliojones_11, Roddy White @roddywhiteTV and Tony Gonzalez @TonyGonzalez88 -- if he doesn't retire -- all benefit from this news, and they should all be relatively high fantasy draft picks in 2013. It should also signal continued limited usage of running back Michael Turner.
