Atlanta Falcons tight Tony Gonzalez
confided, even if perhaps jokingly, to fellow teammate Michael Palmer
that he is now 97-percent sure he will retire after the Falcons postseason. This is an increase of two percentage points since Gonzalez has maintained through the year that he was 95-percent certain he would retire. Either way, the 36-year-old is a future Hall of Fame lock as the most prolific tight end in NFL history.
Fantasy Analysis:
Gonzalez has 1,242 receptions (second-most in NFL history), 14,268 receiving yards (seventh), 103 touchdowns (18th), and his 237 games started is the most for his position. There is very little else for Gonzalez to accomplish in his career, except for that elusive Super Bowl win, which may finally arrive this year. He enjoyed his first ever playoff win last week against the Seattle Seahawks.
