Report: Cowboys' plays will come from OC Bill Callahan, not HC Jason Garrett

Bill Callahan is in the news today, but not for issues that fantasy owners should really care about. Did he "sabotage" his team in Super Bowl 37? Who can say? What we do know and what fantasy owners should care about is that he will reportedly be the Cowboys' play-caller next season. Owner Jerry Jones said on Tuesday that head coach Jason Garrett, who has been the play-caller since becoming head coach during the 2010 season, will not keep that role in 2013. Callahan hasn't called plays since his time with the Raiders from 1998-2003.

Fantasy Analysis:

But even as Tim Brown was bashing his former coach on his handling of the Super Bowl, he did say that Callahan is one of the smartest offensive coaches he has ever been around. Callahan had a good dose of success with the Raiders, turning what was one of the league's worst offenses into one of its best within a year. The Cowboys, who finished sixth in total offense this season, certainly have plenty of good offensive players for him to plan with, so Garrett being stripped of this role shouldn't have much of an impact on this team.
