Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts cleared for football activities

Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts @CecilShortsIII was placed on injured reserve Dec. 24 after suffering two concussions in the span of 22 days. Concussions are always unpredictable, and suffering multiple concussions in such a short amount of time can put a player's future in jeopardy. But Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union brought along good news Friday, stating in a live chat that Shorts has been cleared for football activities.

Fantasy Analysis:

For comparison's sake, teammate Laurent Robinson @LaurentRobinson still hasn't been cleared following multiple concussions. However, he suffered four such brain injuries between August and December. Shorts is coming off a breakout season and has shown himself to be a legitimate big-play player. He finished 23rd among WRs in standard leagues in fantasy points despite missing two games. Shorts should definitely be drafted in the WR2 range.
