San Francisco 49ers wide reciever Randy Moss
was his usual honest self when he told the media that he does not like his role. "I like to be out there playing football," Moss added. The 49ers power run scheme isn't an ideal fit for the 35-year-old receiver. He caught 28 passes this season as a situational threat. The 49ers have leaned heavily on Michael Crabtree
(85 catches this season) while Moss finished tied for fifth on the team. Moss also later said he was the greatest receiver to ever play the game.
Fantasy Analysis:
Moss has five receptions for 71 yards in San Francisco's two postseason games. While his career isn't technically over, how much is really left in the tank? Moss is scheduled to an unrestricted free agent in the offseason and it remains to be seen how much interest other teams might have for a player making negative comments about his team during Super Bowl week. There is a time and a place to let it be known you're going to hit the market, and in an interview before the Super Bowl isn't a great place for it.
