Chiefs cut WR Steve Breaston, TE Kevin Boss

A lot of recognizable names will be handed their walking papers over the next three weeks as teams try to clear up salary cap space or just get under the cap before free agency begins. The Chiefs let go of a couple of those veterans on Tuesday when they cut wide receiver Steve Breaston @SBreaston15 and tight end Kevin Boss @KevinBossman. Those moves create almost $4 million in cap space.
According to former Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel, Breaston's struggled to understand the team's offense, which led to him being a healthy scratch for many 2012 games. He played in 10 games last season and caught just seven passes.
Boss wishes he could have been a healthy scratch. His 2012 season was pretty much washed out after suffering a concussion in Week 2 that ended his year.

Fantasy Analysis:

Boss' football days might be over. He is 29 and has suffered at least four concussions during his six-year career.
Breaston should be able to latch on somewhere as a useful slot receiver. He caught 61 balls for 785 yards in 2011 prior to falling into Crennel's doghouse. He will turn 30 in August. He will likely be a fringe commodity 12-team leagues depending on where he ends up.
