Redskins QB Robert Griffin III will not rush recovery in order to play Week 1

We all hope Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III @RGIII can return to the gridiron in time for the start of the 2013 regular season and continue to showcase the unbelievable skills that made him the NFL's 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year. Griffin is hoping for the same, but he will not put his future at stake to meet that deadline.
Griffin wrote via Twitter on Tuesday, "Although my goal is to start Week 1, that doesn't mean I will compromise my career to do so. Starting Week 1 will be the result of healing, hard work, dedication and God's anointing. No rush, just determination."

Fantasy Analysis:

The tweets were written after RGIII linked to an Adidas commercial in which the words "all in for week 1" appear shortly after images of Griffin working out. People apparently thought that was some sort of clue into his recovery, which ignited Twitter and led to Griffin's response. The commercial is pretty cool, but it is not a hint toward anything. As we heard last week, some in the Redskins organization believe he will be able to come back in time for Week 1. Only time will tell.
