Redskins TE Fred Davis cleared to resume running, related rehab activities

Eleven months is supposed to be the average length of recovery time for an NFL player following an Achilles' tendon tear. Redskins tight end Fred Davis 
is showing that he is much more than average. Via ProFootballTalk.com, Davis received medical clearance today to resume running and other related rehab activities. Davis received clearance from Dr. Robert Anderson, who said Davis is healing well and should be physically ready for OTAs. Davis tore the tendon on Oct. 21. Redskins OTAs begin 78 days from now. They will open training camp in 149 days.
Fantasy Analysis:
If Davis was fully healthy in time for training camp, that would be impressive. If he is 100 percent in time for organized team activities, that would be nothing short of marvelous. It all seems to hard to believe right now, but such reports should help Davis' value as a free agent. The Redskins aren't expected to put the franchise tag on him.
