Mike Wallace
and the Dolphins must be hoping for Tuesday to just get here already so that they can make one of the worst-kept secrets of free agency official. Multiple reports have stated recently that the Dolphins are the heavy favorite to land the Steelers wideout. Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post added to that group on Monday.
"We hear from someone we trust that it's a 'done deal' that Wallace will be signing with Miami," Volin wrote.
Fantasy Analysis:
We'll have more on this story tomorrow when it indeed does become official. For now, this marriage would seem to help Ryan Tannehill
and the rest of the Dolphins' offense more than Wallace. Simply, going from Ben Roethlisberger to Tannehill is not a good thing for a wide receiver. But Wallace should definitely lead to an improvement in Tannehill's numbers and be able to divert defensive attention away from the likes of Brian Hartline
and Davone Bess
.
