After four years as a Dallas Cowboys bust, tight end Martellus Bennett has turned one good season with the Giants into a four-year contract with the Bears. Bennett far surpassed all previous single-season highs while playing for New York last season. His 626 yards were more than double his previous best, and he scored more touchdowns last season (5) than he had in his career up to that point (4).
Fantasy Analysis:
It's tough to read how Bennett will do in Chicago, because he doesn't have a consistent track record, and the Bears haven't had a fantasy-worthy tight end since 2009. Of course, Mike Martz deserves the blame for that. But hopefully the new regime in Chicago uses Bennett wisely, and he continues to display the play-making ability that made him very valuable in New York. Bennett is still just 26 years old and extremely athletic. He could be a stable TE1 this season.
