The Titans said multiple times during the offseason that they were going to keep tight end Jared Cook
and use him more frequently in 2013. But on Tuesday, the Titans' time ran out, Cook became an unrestricted free agent, and now we'll see how he works in St. Louis. Cook signed a five-year contract with the Rams during the afternoon. He will reunite with the head coach who drafted him, Jeff Fisher.
Fantasy Analysis:
Cook is filled with untapped potential. He is a huge mismatch and should create quite a connection with quarterback Sam Bradford. I love this move, because since the Rams are probably going to lose both Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson, Cook may be Bradford's No. 1 receiver this season. He has the skills to take on such a role, he just needs to be given more opportunities, something he wasn't granted enough in Tennessee. He started just 12 games in his four years there. He will be starting right away in St. Louis. Cook is a low-end TE1 this season, but his upside remains huge.
