The Steelers are bringing back wide receiver Plaxico Burress
for another season in the Black and Gold. A league source has told CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora that the two parties will finalize a contract "in the coming days." It will be a one-year deal for the veteran minimum. Burress played three games with the Steelers last season and caught a grand total of one pass. He was originally with the Steelers from 2000-04. He will turn 36 years old in August.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Steelers could need a little receiver help now that Mike Wallace has officially joined the Dolphins, and Heath Miller's knee has his 2013 status way up in the air. But Burress is nothing more than a goal-line target at this point in his career, as evidenced by the eight touchdowns he scored with the Jets during an otherwise bland season in 2011. He has no fantasy value.
