The Eagles brought in another interesting weapon for head coach Chip Kelly on Tuesday. They signed hybrid tight end James Casey
to a three-year pact worth $14.5 million. Casey comes from the Texans after four years. He caught 32 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns last season, but he is very versatile in that he can line up in the backfield and in multiple spots as a receiver.
Fantasy Analysis:
Casey is actually listed at many websites, including this one, as a running back, but he is a much, much better tight end. He could be a nice short-route option for Kelly and Co. Will he have any fantasy value? That's really tough to judge, but probably not unless you are in a crazy-deep PPR league. The Eagles are already loaded at the skill positions, and they have a nice tight end in Brent Celek. But Casey is probably going to have two or three games that catch your eye this season.
