Running back Justin Forsett
spent last season with the Texans, but he was most productive during his time with the Seahawks from 2008-11. By signing with the Jaguars on Friday, he with head coach Gus Bradley and offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch, both of whom were coaches in Seattle during Forsett's time there. Forsett will slot in as Maurice Jones-Drew
's backup. Forsett spent a good chunk of 2012 as Arian Foster direct backup, gaining 375 yards on 63 carries.
Fantasy Analysis:
Granted, Bradley was a defensive coordinator, and Fisch was the quarterbacks coach with the Seahawks, so it wasn't like they worked with Forsett directly. But they are fully aware of his strengths and limitations. Forsett, who is only 27, still has good quickness and is a very solid receiver. He is better than the other secondary options currently on the Jags' RB depth chart -- Jordan Todman
, Richard Murphy, Keith Toston. Given Jones-Drew's medical history, Forsett should be a popular handcuff in drafts. MJD is coming off surgery for a broken foot, and he underwent major knee surgery in 2011.
