Giants find their new TE in Brandon Myers

The Giants have landed their replacement for Martellus Bennett. They signed former Raiders tight end Brandon Myers @Bmyers83 on Saturday. Contract terms were not immediately available. Myers has been in the NFL since 2009, but he broke out with Oakland last season, catching 79 passes for 806 yards and four touchdowns. Bennett signed a four-year contract with the Bears earlier this week.

Fantasy Analysis:

I love this signing for the Giants. Yes, Bennett is more athletic and more of a mismatch against defenses, but Myers is a solid receiver, and the Giants probably got him pretty cheaply, although we don't know what the financials are yet. The Giants have made Bennett and Jake Ballard very fantasy-worthy the past two seasons; I have no doubt they will make Myers just as valuable. He is a low-end TE1 for drafts this summer.
The Raiders' lead TE right now is David Ausberry. In other words, they need a new No. 1 tight end.
