Wednesday was apparently 'Sign a backup quarterback' day

When Carson Palmer is the best quarterback to change teams this offseason, you know the field of available QBs is pretty barren. Wednesday saw a handful of signal-callers get deals, but barring injury, you probably won't hear much from them this season.
The Redskins signed a pair of quarterbacks, Rex Grossman and Pat White. Grossman has spent the past two seasons in Washington. White, a second-round draft pick by the Dolphins in 2009, last played professional football with the Virginia Destroyers of the United Football League in 2011.
Elsewhere, the Seahawks signed Josh Portis to a two-year contract. He is now the direct backup to Russell Wilson. Portis, 25, has never played in an NFL game and was cut from the Seahawks' practice squad in Novemeber.
Finally, the Bengals claimed Cardinals castoff John Skelton from waivers. He will compete with Josh Johnson to be Cincinnati's second-stringer.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Redskins now have four quarterbacks under contract. None of these players are a major threat for playing time this season, but White, who once announced his retirement from football a couple of years ago, is actually the most interesting player from this group, because we know he can run, and he could fit in the Redskins' read-option offense. Perhaps he sees a play or two out of some sort of Wildcat formation? Maybe.
Or he might get cut in a few months. Either way, his fantasy value is very, very, very small. All of these other guys won't play unless the starter gets hurt or, in the case of Andy Dalton, benched.

Vince Young would be a perfect fit for a team needing a quarterback. ... He is Motivated, Hungry and Determined to prove he can still play this game at a high level.... and that he can lead a team deep into the playoffs and possibly to the Big Dance... Vince Young is salary-cap friendly "Low Risk - High Reward" type of guy.... A wise choice for the smart Team Owner/GM....
