Giants RB David Wilson improving in pass protection

Running with speed and quickness is not a problem for Giants running back David Wilson @4stillRunning. Pass protection is. Or at least, it was more of a problem than it is now. Giants running backs coach Jerald Ingram told the Newark Star-Ledger that Wilson isn't all the way there to being an elite blocker, but he is making steady progress.
"We've tested him within the system, he did well a week ago, knowing what we're doing and how to protect," Ingram said of Wilson. "Now he's physically learned how to protect his quarterback, and he's looking forward to the challenge, which so far I'm pretty excited about where he is right now."

Fantasy Analysis:

Wilson put on a few pounds of muscle during the offseason for help in this area. The obvious takeaway here is that if Wilson becomes less of a liability in pass protection, the Giants will keep him on the field on third downs more often. And that should mean more chances for receptions.
