Rams trade up for WR Tavon Austin

Wide receiver was a big area of need for the St. Louis Rams, and they made a move to address it early during Thursday's first round. The Rams swapped first-round picks with the Bills, moving up from No. 16 to No. 8, to draft West Virginia wideout Tavon Austin @Tayaustin01. The Rams also gave the Bills a second- and a seventh-round pick, and the teams traded third-round picks.

Fantasy Analysis:

Austin is widely regarded as the best pure playmaker in the draft. His skill set hints that he could be the next Randall Cobb, Percy Harvin or DeSean Jackson. His 4.34 speed works not only on offense but on kicks and punts as well. I don't think it's a stretch to say he can be the Rams' best WR right away, and he'll be worth targeting in all fantasy leagues. In Austin, Chris Givens, and tight end Jared Cook, the Rams have three unproven-yet-dynamic targets for Sam Bradford. Entering his fourth year, his stock is on the rise.
