Draft break: Jets trade for RB Chris Ivory; Browns trade for WR Davone Bess

The draft has consumed all football fans over the last three days, but two fantasy-relevant trades went down Friday while everyone's eyes were focused on Radio City Music Hall.
The Jets sent a fourth-round pick to the Saints for running back Chris Ivory @ivory_29, and the Browns acquired Davone Bess @davonebess from the Dolphins. To finish that deal, the Browns and Dolphins swapped fourth-round picks, the Browns sent a fifth-round pick to Miami, and Miami sent a seventh-round pick the other way.
Both players also inked new deals with their new team. Ivory signed a three-year contract worth $10 million, and Bess signed a three-year extension through 2016.

Fantasy Analysis:

Ivory becomes the Jets' top running back right away. He was always productive in limited action with the Saints, averaging more than five yards per carry from 2010-12; now he gets the big chance to shine that he deserves. He doesn't catch the ball, which will limit his field time, but he is a violent runner who can handle a lot of work. This isn't like Eddie Lacy going to the Packers or Montee Ball going to Denver; defenses will plan to stop the Jets' run game first, but if the carries are there, Ivory can be an RB2. Mike Goodson @GoodNplenty33, who was signed during the offseason, probably falls back into his more familiar role as a third-down back.
Bess supplants David Nelson @DavidNelson86 as the Browns' top slot receiver. Bess gives Brandon Weeden another outlet, and he might eat into Greg Little @Str8UpGlittle's production on those intermediate routes, but he shouldn't be on your draft radar.

There is nothing more important to a fantasy RB than touches and Chris Ivory is about to double his. With an anemic passing game and a run first attitude, the new JETS RB1 could see 15 to 18 carries a game which in my book is a recipe for FF success. Solid RB2 !
