Ravens re-sign LT Bryant McKennie

The early part of this offseason saw several key members of the Super Bowl champion Ravens take flight elsewhere. At times it appeared left tackle Bryant McKennie would be next out the door, but on Thursday Baltimore announced that the franchise had come to terms on a two-year deal with Joe Flacco @TeamFlacco's blindside protector. Arguably the top left tackle remaining on the market, McKennie had drawn interest from the Dolphins, Chargers and Cowboys. Those offensive line-neeedy clubs will now need to look elsewhere.

Fantasy Analysis:

While the Ravens had a Plan B in place, keeping the longtime veteran in place is a solid move for stability - not to mention keeping Flacco upright and opening holes for Ray Rice. After trading Anquan Boldin and losing notable defenders in free agency including Ed Reed, many were ready to call an to any another playoff run for Baltimore. Since the Ravens brought in pass rusher Elvis Dumerville, safety Michael Huff, turned out another strong draft led by the first-round selection of safety Matt Elam and now kept McKennie. Good stuff all the way around, but what else would you expect from GM Ozzie Newsome and a franchise that just gets it done. Perhaps the McKennie signing will jump start the second wave of free agency. Several interesting tackle options remain, though mostly right tackle options including Eric Winston and Tyson Clabo.
