The Vikings' Adrian Peterson and Jerome Simpson are on opposite ends of the fantasy football attractiveness spectrum, but never mind that. Here's a note updating their health.
Peterson told reporters Wednesday that he feels great and is "pretty much 100 percent" four months removed from hernia surgery. He has been a full participant during organized team activities
"It was a cakewalk compared to recovering from the ACL and what I had to go through to bounce back from that," Peterson said.
Simpson's 2012 season was derailed by a three-game suspension and a nerve issue in his back that caused numbness in his legs, cutting down on his speed.
"I didn't really have my burst to be able to get away from my defenders when I needed to," Simpson told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The remedy? A Tempur-Pedic mattress with a pillow top that Simpson said has stabilized his back and corrected his posture. He said he feels 100 percent healthy.
I will forgo telling you what I expect from Peterson this year and how much disdain I hold for Simpson and just leave you with this: Adrian Peterson should be the first pick in your fantasy draft. Jerome Simpson should not be.
