Chiefs RB Knile Davis: 'I'll never fumble again'

Jamaal Charles and Willis McGahee tied for the league lead with five fumbles last season. Charles rushed 285 times; McGahee rushed 167 times. Chiefs rookie running back Knile Davis @BoobieKnile_Era fumbled seven times last year at Arkansas with just 112 carries. So, yeah, that's a problem. But it's a problem that Davis said he has solved.
"It's fixed. I think I'll never fumble again," Davis told the Kansas City Star. "... I've got it under control. It's not really that big of a deal. I had two bad games last year where I fumbled a lot. It was just me not focusing on it."

Fantasy Analysis:

Uh-huh. Let's see if Davis' edict holds up when he is actually taking hits from NFL linebackers. Besides the fumblitis, Davis has to prove that the ankle he fractured in 2011 is no longer a problem. Davis had a fantastic season as a sophomore in 2010, but once he came back from that injury last year, he averaged just 3.4 yards per carry as a junior. He also doesn't add a whole lot as a receiver. So, there are numerous questions about this third-rounder, but he's got a good shot of opening the season as Charles' backup. Shaun Draughn @2ShaunDraughn0, Jordan Roberts and Cyrus Gray are the other RBs on the Chiefs' roster.
