Ravens TE Ed Dickson signs contract tender
Ravens tight end Ed Dickson signed his one-year contract tender on Friday. He will make $1.32 million under the tender. Dickson's third season was much less productive than his second. He caught 21 passes for 225 yards in 13 games last year. He caught 54 passes for 528 yards and five touchdowns in 2011.
More than a month has come and gone since the last day Dickson was eligible to sign an offer sheet from another team -- he didn't get one -- so he had to sign that tender to get under contract for this season. The Ravens will look for Dickson, Dennis Pitta, Jacoby Jones and others to all step up to fill the void left by Anquan Boldin. But Dickson's extra contributions probably won't be enough to make him worth rostering in most fantasy leagues. He is deep in the TE2 range right now. Pitta is the Ravens tight end you want.
