Patriots WR Julian Edelman in walking boot

That headline isn't the news. Julian Edelman @Edelman11 has been in a walking boot since injuring his right foot in May. More than three weeks later, Edelman was seen still sporting the boot Friday. Edelman broke his right foot last season and was placed on injured reserve in December. He caught 21 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns in just nine games last year.

Fantasy Analysis:

Not a good development for a player who is thought to be on the roster bubble. There's no word on what is ailing Edelman or if it is related to his previous break. He was already ruled out for all organized team activities a few weeks ago; now we need to see if he will be OK in time for training camp. Danny Amendola and rookie Aaron Dobson are considered the only true WR locks for the Patriots' roster. If Amendola can't stay healthy, Edelman would be valuable to New England and fantasy owners. But the dude has to right himself first.
