Broncos being cautious with RB Knowshon Moreno

Knowshon Moreno @knowshonmoreno isn't on the field for the Broncos' organized team activities. Obviously, they would like everyone on their roster to be healthy, but given the recent history of Moreno's right knee -- a torn ACL in 2011; an injury that forced him out of last season's playoff game versus the Ravens; a stem-cell procedure performed on it during the offseason -- the team is displaying patience.
"He's coming along," head coach John Fox said of Moreno, via The Denver Post. "When the doctors give him the full-go go-ahead, he'll be doing everything."
Moreno underwent that stem-cell procedure more than three months ago, but he was not medically cleared to participate in OTAs.

Fantasy Analysis:

Fox didn't hint that Moreno will be healed by training camp, but that seems to be the expectation. Either Moreno or Willis McGahee will not be a part of this team when the season begins. Even if Moreno stays, he might be only Denver's No. 3 RB, behind rookie Montee Ball and third-down back Ronnie Hillman. Barring an outstanding performance in camp, Moreno will probably need an injury to a running back other than himself to have some decent fantasy value.
