Chargers WR Keenan Allen still dealing with knee pain

Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen was once projected to be a first-round pick in this year's draft. But he ended up dropping into the third round after a sub-par showing at his pro day, a performance which was attributed to the fact that his left knee wasn't fully recovered from October surgery. Apparently, it still isn't. National Football Post's Dan Pompei reported Sunday that Allen's knee remains at less than 100 percent despite being more than seven months removed from PCL reconstruction.

Fantasy Analysis:

Allen was a full participant at the start of the team's rookie camp last month, which seems like a curious development if Pompei's report is true. At least that means Allen felt good enough to do some fairly strenuous football work, so he should be nearing full strength. Allen will compete for a steady role during the season in training camp, but he will have some tough competition in Malcom Floyd and Vincent Brown. Allen may not have much fantasy value this year.
