UPDATE: Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger undergoes minor knee surgery

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger underwent surgery on his right knee Wednesday. Tomlin termed the surgery as minor and said it was performed to relieve some discomfort Roethlisberger had been experiencing during the offseason.
"We advised [Roethlisberger] to get the surgery done to ensure he will be completely healthy for the start of training camp," Tomlin said via the Twitter account of the Steelers' communications coordinator, Burt Lauten. "This surgery will have no long-term effects on his health."

Update: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Roethisberger had his right meniscus repaired. He is expected to be healthy in four-to-six weeks.

Fantasy Analysis:

Doing the math, Roethlisberger should be ready for training camp, which is about seven weeks away. Roethlisberger had a 26:8 touchdown-to-interception ratio last season in just 13 games, but he will have to adjust to football life without Mike Wallace and with Antonio Brown as his No. 1 wideout. Roethlisberger is a fine QB2 right now.
